Retained engagement
Monthly Owner Advisor
Senior, retained advisory for owners who carry the commercial responsibility of a hotel without a corporate support function behind them.
Independent owners often make significant decisions alone, between board-level questions and daily operational noise, with no experienced counterpart to test their thinking against.
This engagement provides that counterpart on a predictable monthly rhythm.
What the retainer includes
Monthly KPI & performance review
A structured read of the numbers that matter, with attention to what changed and why.
Revenue & commercial discussion
Pricing posture, channel behaviour, pace and the commercial decisions coming up in the next period.
Operational priorities
Agreement on the small number of operational issues that deserve attention before the next review.
Leadership sounding board
A confidential place to test management, structure and people decisions before they are made.
Accountability on actions
Agreed actions are carried forward and reviewed. Progress is tracked in plain terms.
Suited to
- Owner-managed hotels without a corporate office
- Investors with one or two properties under management
- First-time hotel owners
- Groups between corporate hires
Frequently asked
How often do we meet?
The core rhythm is one structured monthly session, with the format agreed at the start of the engagement.
Is an audit required first?
Not required, but common. An audit establishes a shared factual baseline, which makes the monthly work more precise.
Do you speak directly with the general manager?
Only where the owner wants it. Some owners prefer the advisory relationship to stay with ownership; others include the GM in part of the session.
What is the minimum commitment?
Retainers are agreed for a defined period so there is time to see the effect of decisions. Terms are set out in the written proposal.
Start with a clear read of the property.
A short introductory conversation is enough to establish whether an audit, a revenue reset or retained advisory is the right first step.
